Great atmosphere too, all of the barbers are very down to earth and sociable, plus the walls are lined with the most interesting stuff it’s like getting your hair cut in an Applebees mixed with a tattoo shop lol. “ I visited Axe to Grind Barbershop yesterday, on April 30th, for a 1:15 PM appointment with Justin — and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. My son usually struggles with haircuts, and it’s always been difficult to find someone who truly understands how to make him feel comfortable. But Justin was incredible. He noticed my son playing and immediately connected with him in a fun, gentle way. It felt like they were just playing together, and that completely changed the mood. Justin made my son feel safe, happy, and relaxed. He took his time and didn’t rush the process at all. The haircut came out perfect — probably the best one he’s ever had. My son didn’t fidget or get upset, which has never happened before during a haircut. I truly recommend Justin to any parent with a child who has a hard time staying still, or who’s nervous about haircuts. Justin clearly loves what he does — and it shows. He’s not just doing a job, he puts care and passion into every cut. His work is professional, clean, and stylish. We’re extremely happy with the result and will definitely be returning to Justin regularly. He’s officially our go-to barber from now on! ”

“ This shop is one of a kind! I had a very nostalgic experience visiting on shrewsbury street where I grew up most of my life. It was my first time coming here to see the very talented Kara! She’s incredible with years and years of experience on her belt! You might ask why I went to a barber shop to get a bob cut? Well Kara is a licensed cosmetologist, esthetician and barber and just an all around incredible artist. She took her time with my hair which was very damaged and I left with a soft, healthy, cute, textured bob which she used many techniques to achieve, some I haven’t seen most stylists use on my hair in the past. My experience was non the less relaxing and so welcoming as some of the barbers came up and introduced themselves, which I thought was so genuine and kind. I watched as one of the barbers calmly followed a very young boy (maybe 3 years old) and take his time with giving him a haircut any chance he was able to. It was so sweet to watch. This shop exudes patience, kindness, talent and had some incredible humans working behind the chair. My experience was 10/10. Highly recommend Axe to Grind for any of your hair cutting needs. ”
